This is mad lies . Where do you get such a huge number? Have you seen at least one ‘trafficking victim’? This is similar paranoia as rumour about Hundreds of Ritual Baby Murders in Sweden

All population in Sweden about 9 millions residents. After all there is very few prostitutes in Sweden. Checking all swedish prostitution-advertising sites I estimate that 500-600 women is a number of ALL prostitutes in whole Sweden.

Even wordsexguide’s punters complaine of lack of prostitutes in Sweden.

One thing’s for sure : you define all independent (as myself) sexworkers in Sweden as a ‘trafficking victims’.

2. Foreign and Immigrant sexworkers has been stereotyped and demonized in Sweden as ’sex slaves’. Sadly enough, swedish born sexworkers use those racist lies for own purpose:

a. deflect attention from themselves

b. fearing competition of the foreign sexworkers.

There are NO FACTS at all about trafficking in Sweden. There are only rumours and myths origin from the swedish yellow press.
Give me facts not propaganda .

I’ve worked as a call girl off and on for several years. Here’s a link to an article I wrote on why I think many traffickers are catering to a demand for rape: http://www.emiliedice.com/compartments/?page_id=17

    Dear Compartments,
My blog is about pros-scene in Sweden, but you’re talking about other countries.
Please, read all other posts on my blog, before you comment.

I not deny that so called ‘trafficking’ may be exist. But if it did exist - it’s only in other countries. I write about situation in Sweden. In whole Sweden is only 9 million residents. Here is NO any market for real trafickers.

I have 15 years experience working as an escort/prostitute in Sweden and I have never been raped nor enslaved or ‘imported’. Why did ‘traffickers’ or pimps never harassed myself, if they really existed?

Reading your blog I’ve get impression that yourself have no any personal experience about this issue.
Secondly, you’re confusing common rape with trafficking.
Any woman can be raped without any sexslavetrade!

Strange enough, so called ‘normal’ women has been raped more often than sexworking women in Sweden.
90% of my clients are common Swedish guys in 30-40 y.o,, 8% are foreigners from other Scandinavian or Western countries, 2% are immigrant men who live in Sweden many years. All of them treated me with respect .

If you’re really callgirl, you should read what the International Union of Sex Workers (IUSW) says about ‘trafficking’.

    http://www.iusw.org/node/15

The same as me they say that ‘trafficking’ is a moral panic, which define ALL sexworkers as ‘victims of slavetrade’. This stereotyping is very racist and anti-woman, which demonize all group.

America actually has much much less trafficking than the sensationalists are screaming about. I imagine Sweden is in a similar spot as the focus of these lie. In the States, the office of Human trafficking recently admitted that it has only been able to find a fraction of the trafficking victims that it estimated. Of the 50,000 per year estimated, they only found 1100 in 8 years. That is less than 1%. Washington Post reports that most of them were consensual adult prostitutes where the circumstances were sensationalized into a trafficking beef.

There obviously has been a great deal of over exaggerating of this issue by poeple who’s real motive is to promote an anti-prostitition agenda by conflating terminology such as slavery, trafficking, and child sex into the mix of everything.

Now at least one member of Congress wants the FBI in the business of enforcing prostitution by an amendment to the law that includes prostitution as a federal crime.

The FBI and Justice Dept are opposed to it because it is absurd and there is no Constitutional basis for a law banning sex between adults. Additionally, it is absurd to expand a law when we now know that grounds for the original law were greatly falsified.

These self-perpetuating govt power grabs which are countercurrent to facts and the Constitution must end. Its time to have rationale decisions with accurate statistics in lieu of hysterics and sensationalism making public policy.
