Danish brothels practice age-discrimination. I hate brothels.
So called ‘clinics’ in Denmark don’t employ any woman who’s older than 30.
Here I see another bad side of decriminalized prostitution - age-based selectivity .
Also prices in Denmark are much lower than in Sweden.
I can guess it is the same discrimination in all brothels all over the world. Notice also that those poor women must pay 30-50% of their small wages to the brothel owner.
I’m so lucky to be 150% Independent sexworker.
Brothel is another pimping. I hate brothels.

Yes,the prises are all to high in Sweden and many of the younger hobby working people in these cases in Sweden looks to take there work in a strange way when they redirect customers to many times.Never experienced this in Denmark however.Thank God for that country.

“Notice also that those poor women must pay 30-50% of their small wages to the brothel owner.”
De danska tjejerna måste ju oxå betala skatter till staten?
Mycket väsen för lite ull…

This is complete nonsense.
There are lots of woman older than 30 in danish brothels.
Some of them write their real age in the advertisements, others write a younger age.
How much they pay to the brothel owners I don’t know.
But the brothel owner facilitates a workplace. Or do you really believe that all sexworkers are interested in working on their own? Also their own risk. They would have to organise a workplace and pay for the rent, organise their own advertisements etc.

JayR,Thanks for your comment, but you are wrong. Sweden is a little different from Denmark.
Notice please, that i’m talking only about sexwork in Sweden .
‘nonsense’? Just click on the link to brothel’s website and you see that it is true.
How ever we have 40+55+ old sexworkers here in Sweden. They would be outcompete in Denmark or any other country where prostitution is legalized or decriminalized.
”Or do you really believe that all sexworkers are interested in working on their own? ”
There is NO any risk to work independently in Sweden.
I know that after my 16-years experience working in Sweden.
It’s not only my experience.
I have email-contact with many other swedish sexworkers.
I read regularly sexwork.net (search on Google Swedish Forum there).. As far No one of swedish prostitutes had complained of violent clients in Sweden.
We have some other problems with the clients.
For example, so called falskbokare - false-bookers/swindlers/jokers/cheaters i.e. men who promise to come to some place but did not come at time they booked.
or another variant- they can write false adres, etc…
But it happend not so often to me, as I have very good intuition.
Jay, have you ever read my previous post? Please, read again my post below on ‘Christian Sience Monitor….’
I have been 150% independent sexworkers allways and NEVER met any violent client in Sweden.
I had another small problems with some clients, but it happend solely one or two times BEFORE swedish anti-john’law. Not after.
it happen ones in whole 16 years that one client wanted ‘money back’ as he wasnt satisfied. It was before swedish anti-pros-model. It could not happend today. Now, after 1999, the men are very afraid to make so much noise.
It would be mad if some client could go to police while loudly complaining ”I-paid-her-but-I-want-money-back-because-i’m-not-satisfied” in Sweden 2008,
”They would have to organise a workplace and pay for the rent,”
No problem with that. I used to organise everything by myself. Workplace is either client’s home or client’s hotel room.
I feel safe in both places.
Because of my personality I was an ensam varg (lonecome wolf ) all my life and could never trust any other one in such a specific and intim work.
Have read many stories how women fight each other, compete and bullied in the brothels in other countries.. Unfottunately there is not so much solidarity in this labour.
The less johns the more fighting and competition.
Before Internet-era and before 1999-law I used to advertise my services on some swedish porn-mags. I did it by myself, of course.
After 1997 I got an Internet-connection and it has been more easy advertise directly on the Internet and then meets up either in their homes or in their hotel rooms.
This anti-pros law comes in 1999. It comes NOT because of ‘trafficking’ (no one was nagging about ‘trafficking’ in 1999), but because of the ‘prostitution explosion’ on the Internet.
The authorities was more afraid of Internet, than ‘trafficking’ Trafficking-issue comes LATER, in 2002.
You wrote-
”.. organise their own advertisements etc.” -
No problem. Read above..
